Manufacturing Industry has become more competitive and with it more cost conscious. Increasingly the control over the manufacturing process has become more and more important and this is no less the case than with modern coatings operations. Application plants and operatives are increasingly being required to operate at or near to maximum efficiencies. Modern coatings meet the latest environmental legislation but their use is often at a higher premium, putting yet more emphasis on efficient use.

With these requirements in mind Protega Coatings have over the recent years been developing ,B.a range of training modules to help and assist industry in achieving the objectives of optimising the efficiencies of their plant and developing operator skill levels and awareness across the whole subject of coatings application.

These training courses are held in Protega Coatings’ modern, fully equipped Technical Service Demonstration area at our West Bromwich site. This area includes: spraybake, disc and bell operation, airless spray, hotspray and conventional spray facilities. Alongside this facility is a modern training room equipped with all the necessary audio-visual aids.

There are eight training modules currently available at our West Bromwich site, and by special arrangement these courses can be conducted at suitably equipped customer’s premises. In general, each module is restricted to eight people to ensure adequate "hands on experience" during the practical sessions and most courses have two instructors in attendance.
